Kari Karst, President / Woman Business Owner

Kari earned a BS in Civil Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. After starting her early career witn Ingersoll-Rand Company, she purchased Buskerud Construction, Inc. in 1992. In 1996 she & her husband Rob purchased a local Dell Rapids redimix concrete company and renamed it Dells Materials Company. While the two companies are separate corporate entities, she provides the overall management and leadership direction for both companies.

Kari is an active industry advocate and spokesperson. She was president of the Associated General Contractors of South Dakota in 2004. She has been an AGC of South Dakota board member since 1998. She currently represents the State of South Dakota as a National Director to the AGC of America.

Rob Karst, VP/General Manager

Rob earned a degree from Mitchell Technical Institute in Power Line Technology. He worked for Southern California Edison Company in California before he and Kari relocated back to South Dakota. He worked as a carpenter initially in South Dakota and learned the redimix concrete operation from the ground up after he and Kari purchased the company. Rob is a no-nonsense, get it done manager that always puts his customers needs first. Rob considers his customers his friends and works hard to be sure every customer gets exceptional service and a finished product that is second to none.
